Job Description

RPN PART-TIME & FULL-TIME POSITION IN OAKVILLE MEDICAL PRACTICE
Join our new ground-floor, direct entry, state of the art, fully accessible medical clinic in Oakville, Ontario, by Ninth-Line and Upper Middle Rd East. Large free parking lot with accessible parking spaces. Close to HWY 403 exit for easy commute.
Spacious exam rooms and a larger procedure room. Brand new HVAC system with fresh air exchange in each individual room. IPAC protocols in place.
We have a great team, with knowledgeable, friendly staff. Physician owned and managed clinic, with 4 family physicians. Pharmacy in shared space.
Flexible working hours. Our office is open Monday to Friday.
ROLES
  • To assist the doctor in the provision of high quality and safe care to patients of
    the practice by:
    • performing specific delegated medical acts
    • assuming responsibility for the immunization programme
    • participating in quality improvement functions
  • To work with the office staff to maintain the medical equipment and materials
    necessary to practice family medicine.
  • To support Medical Office Assistants may be required from time to time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the doctor with medical procedures when required
  • Administer vaccines, injections, medication as required
  • Perform other delegated medical acts as required e.g. treatment of warts, skin
    tags, etc. under the doctor’s supervision
  • In co-operation with the doctor, develop and maintain patient teaching modules
    on immunization that can be used for patient education
  • Guide office staff in the distribution of immunization information to facilitate the
    nursing role
  • Maintain the supply of vaccines and ensure their safe storage
  • Liaise with the Halton Regional Health Department
  • Review all Halton Public Health Notices, and work with the physicians to implement any required changes and programs to best serve clinic patients
  • Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment
  • Assist office staff in ordering and distribution of medical supplies
SALARY RANGE: $28/hour and negotiable
